are there any absolutely free downloads that will replace the sound i stupidly deleted from my inspiron 6000 xp? PLEASE HELP

Dell's own website offers you absolutely free drivers - free of risk as well. Input the Service Tag from the casing of your Inspiron 6000 and you'll be taken to the right page for the audio and other drivers.

I find it's best to make sure you go to the local Dell site for your country.
