i got a wireless problem, and i dont think its with usb wifi device because it works on another pc just perfect and its on xp! im using windows 7 and when i connect to this 1 network i connect just fine but after 5 seconds i notice on the ipv4 status it says 'no network access' but still connected.
i tried disabling and enabling the adapter, deleting the wireless profile etc....no luck.

Doesn't matter. Windows has a way of forcing IPv6 on you even if you don't ask for it. The fact that it gets an IPv4 connection for a few seconds before losing it is a characteristic symptom of IPv6 overriding IPv4. Open a command prompt, do an ipconfig /all and post the results here.

That doesn't surprise me. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what causes this. One of my systems that got hit with it was a Win 7 virtual machine. I had made a snapshot of it with a working IPv4 config. It worked, I'd been using it for a few days that way without a hitch when I made the snapshot, and it continued to work for months afterward.

A few months later I reverted to that snapshot, and suddenly it didn't work. Just like you, it would get Internet access for a few seconds, then everything would come up with no network access. A little investigation revealed that the VM was defaulting to IPv6. Unchecking IPv6 didn't help - ipconfig /all still showed an IPv6 address. Eventually I fixed it with a registry hack to stop it from using IPv6 entirely.

But the fact that it happened to a known working snapshot of a VM has got me really scratching my head as to what causes this. I may find out more when I revert to the snapshot again (I use this VM for all potentially risky web browsing like torrent searches, and reset it every few months).
