No network adapter driver found

I just finished building my first pc and got windows 7 32 bit running on it but when I try to connect to my router with an ethernet cable it says network adapter driver not found or installed. I've got a msi 990fxa-gd80 mobo. Tried downloading several drivers and installing from a USB but nothing. And can't connect to Internet at all on the new pc. Please help!

Did you install the drivers for motherboard, that should have come on a cd with it? You downloaded from the MSI website? http://www.msi.com/support/mb/990FXAGD80.html#down-driver&Win7%2032.

I don't have a CD reader. I tried updating bios which when tried to restart said there was no platform. I tried the driver for the LAN but either it says I don't have the minimum requirements to install or can't find the network adapter for that specific driver. I believe the drive for msi was realtek

Ok, have you installed the System and Chipset drivers already?

I was able to get the drivers to work this time from the link you gave me thanks so much now that I have the lan driver working i can download the rest directly from my new build!
