I recently installed Windows 7 on my laptop that has windows 8.1 but Windows 7 can't connect to the internet I checked under device manager network adapters but it doesn't show any wireless adapter what should I do?

I'm using a Sager NP8250 (Clevo P1575M) and the wireless card listed when I bought it is :
Wireless Network Sager - Built-in 802.11 Wireless B/G/N - Stock Wireless Card + Bluetooth™ 4.0 (SKU - SWF801)

Not really sure where to look for the drivers as I have already tried downloading the chipset driver and the lan driver from the Sager website and doesn't seem to be working.

Hi

You need to download the Windows 7 driver for the wireless device from the laptop manufacturers web site
If that fails you may be able to download it from manufacturer of Wireless device.

Since you do not give details of laptop not much more we can say except
there are a number of programs which can tell you what components such as network & wireless cards are in your PC

eg Belarc advisor: SIW (System Info for Windows); ASTRA; HWinfo32 etc
