I just bought a new motherboard and installed everything but once I get into the desktop my Ethernet cord will not connect me to the internet. I already tested the cord on my lap top and it works fine but when I connect it to my desktop is doesnt work. I tried installing LAN drives from my mother CD and it says some like "No Network cannot be found, Get computer out of Deep Sleep Mode then replug the cord back in. I cant get my motherboard out of Deep Sleep mode if I dont have a Network Adapter in my Device Manager. Please if anyone can help me find a Solution it would make my life stress free.

+1 make sure you installed the drivers that came with the motherboard. Usually on CD, you may have to transfer them to USB stick if you do not have a cdrom drive in your pc.

Also, windows update can usually find drivers, but not if you cannot connect. Do you have a wireless USB stick you can use until the MB ethernet is working ?

+1 also for Popatim's BIOS comment. If the ethernet is disabled in bios, and you did not do it then its a good time to use the 'reset to default' 'SAVE' function in your BIOS. There may be other things funky in the bios settings.
