No Network adapters listed- HELP

I have exhausted every resource I have. The problem- Windows 8 on a Gateway AIO was not listing any Network adapters except the BT. No LAN or WLAN. Nothing in Show Network Adapters via Network Sharing Center and nothing in Device Manager. I Did a full System Restore on the OS, bringing back to when shipped OS and drivers. STILL the exact same problem!!! Thinking a crazy HW problem, I even tried a brandnew USB to Ethernet LAN adapter AND a USB wifi adapter. The drivers for the USB adapters install fine, but they are still NOT showing in Device Manager or Network Center, therefore not able to be used. Please HELP??!!
