I have an Intel g41 Express Chipset graphics card, and when I updated recently to windows 8.1, I can't play games that require opengl support, and I can't update my driver, even though I'm pretty sure it's not the most up to date. Is there anything I can do to fix this and if so, how? Sorry if this is a common post, sorry, I couldn't find a fix that worked anywhere else.

may i ask the name of the motherboard? i am fairly certain that you can upgrade the graphics even an older card that is still supported will do better as it will be still supported. Also it should have a PCI slot and maybe a PCIe x1 and/or x16 slot on it if not more of either and/or both thus for upgradeing it will be possiable it is just which version of which card you will as if no drive for GMA X4500 exsists then a forced upgrade is needed.

The biggest reason is that I don't know **** about upgrading my computer and don't know what's compatible and whatnot. My graphics card does fine for what I want it to, granted I have to turn down the settings slightly, but I'd rather upgrade a driver than buy a new card
