No option to choose Headphone + Mic?

Hey, so i'm trying to use my headset to speak through using its mic but it's not working. When I plug it in, there's no option to choose Headphone + Mic, just headphone or mic in. Mic in doesn't even mic up anything too. My headset does work fine on my laptop since there was an option to choose Headphone + Mic. I'm using the Realtek High Definition Audio Driver, Version 6.0.1.8302 if that helps.

I've tried looking through the Realtek HD Audio Manager settings but I can't find anything :/

Headphones: Astro A40 TR
Motherboard: MSI B350 Tomahawk
CPU: Ryzen 5 1600
GPU: GTX 1050 2gb
Ram: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3000

Are you using the enclosed splitter cable or the one with a combined sound and mic mini jack? The latter most likely will not work on a desktop, since desktop motherboards and PC cases usually have separate connectors for headset/sound and for mic.
