This is a follow on from my thread in the GPU section as this more applies to the motherboard now
Problem
After many hours troubleshooting I have realised that PCIE x16 lane on my mobo not giving a signal after i changed my CPU to a i7 3770k from an i3 3220.
My GPU which is a Asus 7850 only gives signal to the monitor when in the x4 lane when after I installed the i7 3770k. I then tested to see if the GPU would give signal in the x16 lane when I had my i3 3220 attached, it did.
summary
GPU does not get signal from the x16 lane when I have the i7 3770k installed but when I have the i3 3220 installed it works perfectly
My motherboard is a gigabyte z77 DS3H
