Question no performance gain after upgrading gpu?

ive recently upgraded to a GTX 1050 2gb, and i tried out overwatch only to find that no matter how low i have the settings i would only be getting 44-54fps. what could the issue be?

Specs:
AMD A10-7800
8.0 GB RAM
1TB Hard Drive
GTX 1050

Did you connect monitor to graphics card? Or is it still connected to video output on motherboard (iGPU video output)?

I used to have a cheap GT 1030, and yes my monitor is connected to the graphics card

so in Overwatch my frames have lowered to 38-49 no matter how high or low the settings but in other games like The Forest reinstalling the drivers it gave quite a boost in performance...weird
