I did an upgrade from my rtx 2070 to a 3080ti and I don't see any performance gain. It's just the same performance as my 2070, and I want to know what I can do to bring out more performance from the 3080ti.

My specs
Ryzen 7 3700x
Gigabyte rtx 3080ti
750 watt psu (evga)
Mobo is a asus tuf mobile
16 gigs of rams 2x8

And I'm wondering if my monitor is also the reason why I don't have any gains, and it's a 1080p 144htz

The games you play were probably fps limited by the cpu and not the gpu. Think of it like this, the cpu determine the best possible fps you can achieve, the gpu determines at what resolution and game settings you can achieve that fps at.

A 3080Ti is overkill for 1080p, you will struggle to fully utilise it. The 3080Ti is better suited to 1440p 144Hz or higher.

I went from a 2070 super to a 6700xt to a 6900xt. Significant fps increase every time.

But I'm running 144hz 1440p same 3700x CPU. I can hit 120-144hz on most games pretty consistently now on high. Bumping to a 5xxx series would add another 20-60 fps but with the 144hz cap it's not necessary.

You will probably notice improvements in benchmarks but with gaming I'd guess your bumping off the monitors max 144 now.

Time might be time for a new monitor or flip that 3080ti for some cash and keep the 2070.

Your memory appears to only be running at 2133MHz. This is choking the performance of your CPU. Are the sticks of memory a matched set?
You should be running your RAM at 3200MHz. You need to enable XMP/AMP in BIOS to get your RAM to 3200MHz (and then test for stability).

They should be the same cause I bought it as a set at microcenter. And I'll try to enable xmp

That CPU/GPU combination isn't made for 1080p...spend your money on a 4k monitor and put the 3080ti to good use.

Try running a game benchmark in 4k virtual resolution (it renders the game in 4k, but sends to the monitor in it's native resolution). That's when you'll see the benefit from that GPU.
