[SOLVED] no physical sound through usb sound card

hello
recently my aux jack broke and got stuck inside my motherboard audio
so i bought a usb sound card
it shows up fine in sound settings and sound control panel but the problem is no actual sound is coming out of the sound card
i also tested on my laptop
and i have latest version of windows 10 x64
i unintalled device through device manger and manually installed driver and i reinstalled windows but nothing seems to work
so should i buy another sound card or can i fix this

When you tested the sound card in the laptop, did you connect headphones or speakers to it or did you just try to use the laptop speakers with it?

I CONNECTED HEADPHONES TO THE SOUND CARD.

I THINK THE SOUND CARD IS A DAMAGED GOOD
