No picture from card

hi
i have PCI graphics card which gives no signal whatsoever during boot. It only heats a little.

what could cause this? I can only run the PC with the integrated graphics card.

in windows it does not appear on devices listing.

is the card dead?

Could be. You'd need to list your full system specs as that's really not enough info.

go into your bios to check if your onboard video is disabled and your pci slot is the main graphics

my full info:

AMD sempron 3400+
3,0 gb ram (DDR2)
NVIDIA GeForce 6100 ( THIS IS THE INTEGRATED )
from the graphics card im trying to get working i can only tell 🙁 that its ASUS (Nvidia both read on board). PCI Express.
- i cant figure the model number from the card.

and 400W PSU.

The BIOS settings are OK.

should i put in the oven and seen if it gets fixed? is this the point you usually do that?

i found at that its the mainboard that is broken. pity, cants probably do anything about that, except replace the mainboard.

is there anyway you can try to fix the mobo? for graphics card you can put to oven but what about mainboard?
