No playback devices

Hi, this is my first post on a forum so this is probably all sorts of wrong.

The other day windows updated some keyboard drivers or something before i turned off and removed my graphics card to try sort out the heat sink. Anyway, since then my pc has been unable to detect any of the audio ports attached to the motherboard. I've tried various suggestions on other threads but none have worked hence my first post.I understand for any help ill likely need to give more information and ill happily provide such details.

So yeah, help. Plaese Thanks

Have you looked under device manager to see if the audio ports are recognized there? You can try to download drivers from the motherboard maker.

No devices show up in the device manager and I've tried installing the drivers from the disc and no luck there either

Just thought I'd say that I can play audio via hdmi and through usb headphones.

has it become disabled in the BIOS somehow?

I had a look and i think it was called the hd audio manager under integrated peripherals was enabled
