No POST after Adobe Flash Update

Okay so i turned on the computer this morning and went online as usual. I received a prompt saying I needed to update my Adobe Flash Player to 12 so i hit ok and everything installed and updated without a hitch.

A minute or so later I received a popup from avast saying i had some software that needed critical updates so I clicked it and it showed me the programs that needed attention. The only thing that needed one was the Java runtime environment so I said "meh" and just closed the avast software updater.

Maybe 30 seconds after that my computer BSOD-ed then just went black. Everything happened so fast I wasn't able to take down the stop code. Since then the computer only has power (led's and fans and optical drive tray eject button seem to be working), but i think there's no POST (just a black screen, a yellow led on monitor which indicates no signal, no beeping sound or other sounds for that matter, no lights on keyboard).

How can i proceed to fix my computer via system restore, windows repair, boot to safe mode, etc in this instance? Only things i tried were draining the flea power and checking inside to see if any cables might have come loose. any suggestions? I'm on windows 7 ultimate 32bit.

I wasn't doing anything heavy that time, just browsing, Google and such. i don't think this is a hardware issue since the only thing that changed was that flash player update - no new hardware drivers were installed. and no, there's no lightning storm when it happened.

it sounds like a hardware issue. the fact that this happened during software updates is probably coincidental.

try removing the graphics card and see if you get any beep codes. if not, try removing the ram as well and see if you get beep codes. report back here.
