Replaced mb, cpu, fan, and ram (asus rog crosshair vii hero, ryzen 2700x, wraith prism, tridentz). Pc worked fine before this with same gpu, psu, etc. I literally took these new parts out of the box.
I'm pretty sure the power sw, reset sw, etc pins are in correctly, but the pc trys to boot as soon as I hit the psu switch while the power button does nothing. Leds and fans are all going with normal sounds coming out, but nothing comes on the screen. My Asus ROG Crosshair vii hero has a q-code LED that looks like a basketball scoreboard, giving the error code 08 or 8 (left number is not lit up, but instruction manual for the mb does not list just '8'), "system agent initialization after microcode loading" I guess it could be 0B which is another error code but no way to tell the difference between 8 or B on such a led.
Goolging, everyone says cpu isn't in correctly, there is a bent pin on the cpu, or to install a new bios. And yes I went through the no boot/video sticky thoroughly.
I literally just took the cpu out if the package and triple checked its in correctly with no bent pins or damage. I tried taking out the circular battery for 10 minutes to reset, but no avail.
Not sure how to install some new bios when nothing comes on screen and i'm at a complete loss, i'm pretty sure everything is connected correctly and can't imagine anything is broken.
There was quite a lot of dust in there which i feel i cleaned out pretty thoroughly before installing the new components.
