No POST!!! AGGGGHHHHH!!!!

I've just put together a new system. Specs read:
Case COOLERMASTER COSMOS S FULL TOWER PC COMPUTER CASE
CPU SUPERCHARGED 975+ 4.3GHz Intel Core i7 Extreme 7.3+GT
CPU Heat Sink COOLER MASTER RR-B2P-UV10-GP V10 Heat Sink
Motherboard Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7, X58
Hard-drives OCZ Vertex Series SATAII 2.5" SSD 60GB
Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA2
Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA2
RAM Corsair 12GB DDR3 Intel Core i7 1333MHz HX3X12G1333C9
Video Card HIS HD 5970 2GB (2x256bit) GDDR5 PCIe DirectX 11
Power Supply Corsair HX 1000W PSU

I thought I'd everything sorted. The case power button lit up to red and I pushed it to power up and....nothing. Well, nearly nothing, a couple of fans connected directly to PSU spun about twice and then died. Inside the case, the blue 'Power' light on the board is lit up, as is the CMOS light also. There are two LED's beside RAM, one green and one yellow also lit up but nothing else. I'd appreciate any ideas.

PS. Speaker is connected to header but hasn't made a sound yet.
