No post Asus z97p

Okay.I'm thoroughly confused.I installed the Asus z97p board and an i5-4690k.I would get a post,but no display(using onboard graphics).So this morning,I unplugged all drives(hard drives,DVD,front panel USB,etc.Took out one memory stick,left monitor plugged in,and got a post(went into BIOS) and display.So...I plugged in hard drives,and got a post,and display.Was able to boot Win 7,right away,by default(I did absolutely nothing to the BIOS) so all was good.Installed drivers from Asus DVD,and now again,no post/display.I am baffled.Can someone help?

Try re-seating the RAMs, reconnecting the power cables.

Well,I ended up breadboarding.Stripped everything out,cleared CMOS,and started with one stick of memory and went from there.I am happy to report everything is running smoothly.Reseated my CPU,put new thermal paste on.Maybe went overboard,but I'm fairly new to this,but I wanted to start completely over.All is good.Thank you.
