Hey guys,
So here are the components to the system.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811129021 = case
The optical drive and hard drive are left over from a previous build. The power supply is a 650w Trio I picked up at best buy in desperation.
So my problem is, the system will not post. I have tried everything I can think of. The system fans come on, no system beeps with or without memory (could be due to lack of a system speaker being hooked up).
I thought maybe I shorted the cpu, tried a different processor (a P4) and the same thing. No post. I thought perhaps that I shorted the board so tried another one and still the same thing. I even put together the system outside the case, minus the optical drive and hard drive and still the same thing.
I've made sure all power connections are good. The power supply I ordered originally didn't have the 4-pin connection to the motherboard. The only time I can get any beep is if I neglect the 6-pin PCI-e connector for the video card.
Any ideas fellas? I thank you in advance for any responses I get.
