No post , error code 34 , rampage 4 extreme , 2 y old

Hi all , after a sudden shutdown of my PC I could not get it to boot , no post and always error code 34. PC never had problems only the last month's the corsair 110 water cooler sometimes did not work and had some shutdowns because high temps. Did everything described here in the forum , bought a new cooler. Still error code 34. When I press the go button on my rampage extreme 4 board i (think mem_test) get error code AE and at last AA. I don't think a virus can do this because it happened just when I started a new game I downloaded from a torrent site. There are always one or two red LEDs burning , error , something with VGA and the other boot sequence. Need some help please.

Well if your cooling pump only worked sometimes and you let it run at high temps. And for 2 years sounds like your CPU has died. Or you killed your motherboard.

Thx for the reply. I Have No cpu error on the mobo. Even with no graphics card and only 1 mem stick I get error 34. Ssd and hd not connected to sata. I read a lot about this error 34 but mostly with new builds. Or using HDMI cable. If the CPU is getting to hot the PC turns off. Can this damage the CPU over time ?? Thx anyone for the help.

well yes it will damage the CPU and probably the motherboard

Hope not , tomorrow I will return the PC for repair. Tested with a 500w PSU and still error 34 , the fans from the case did not spin ?? With the 650w PSU all fan's spin.

Lol, if you list your full PC specs it might help in better resolving this issue. But at this point, since you let the temps run high I'm 90% sure you killed that CPU which is hard to do. But as you stated above you ran it like that so the odds are quite high it's the CPU...

You could try one last ditch effort if you can manage to update or just re-install the same bios. It may resolve your issue, slim chance but may be worth a shot...

Hi , the graphics card was broken. I thought you could post without a GPU but apparently not. Still had this error code 34 without a GPU. New card , problem solved. Thanks for the help.
