Hello! First time PC builder here, really enjoying the process, but not enjoying the issue I'm having.

Here's my part list:
CPU: i7-12700k
RAM: Corsair 32GB D5 5200
AIO COOLER: Corsair H150i Elite LCD
SSD: Samsung 1TB 980 PRO NVME
PSU: Corsair HX1200
MOTHERBOARD: Asus Prime Z690-P WIFI D5
GPU: None right now

I currently have everything setup on top of my motherboard box, as I saw it was good to do that before putting in the case to make sure things work. When I short the power on switch, the fan lights turn on for a second, then turn off completely, although they are still fully spinning. The LCD screen on the cooler also stays on. I get no display to my monitor, which is plugged in via HDMI to my motherboard since the CPU has integrated graphics. Does this mean something is broken? I'm really not sure how to make it post, but hopefully one of you smarter than I can offer some advice.

My motherboard says that it has QLED system error codes, but I'm not sure how to see those. It doesn't have any LEDs on the board itself. Maybe ordering a speaker for the motherboard would be smart?

Things I've tried:
Unplugging everything and plugging back in.
Reseating CPU and RAM.
Taking out CMOS battery, shorting the reset switch, then putting back in.
Using only 1 RAM stick.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Out of curiosity, which slot have you populated on the board with that lone stick of ram? Slot DIMM_A2? If working with a dual channel ram kit then use slots DIMM_A2 and DIMM_B2. Please inspect the CPU's socket for any bent or broken pins. Might want to also see if turning the mounting bracket screws a (quarter)90 Degree turn anti clockwise to loosen it a little.

Thanks for the response, I really appreciate it. I made sure my RAM was in slot A2 and I made sure my CPU has no broken pins. Also tried loosening the screws, but still the same things happen when I boot. Very odd.
