No Post, No Beeps, Fans On, New Build

Hello all,

Just finished putting together a new rig but when I tried to post there was no output on the monitor. I have an asus z87 plus mother board and the cpu, memory and video card LED all light up red one after another for about a second but dont stay on. Not sure if that means there is a problem with those parts or not.

Basically im trying to see what could be wrong and some potential fixes. I have already tried another monitor so im sure its not that. i have tried outputting from the graphics card and the mobo with no change so i assume the graphics card isnt the problem. Any help would be much appreciated.

Rig Parts:
CPU: i5 4670k
GPU: gtx 780
RAM: corsair dominator platinum
MOBO: ASUS z87 plus
PSU: corsair cs750m

if your motherboard has usb flashback port look at the mb lable the last 4 numbers are the bios rev. if it lower then the last one on asus web page use the usb flash back and update the bios to rule out a bios bug. if the bios is fine pull the gpu and see if the mb posts. if none try one ram stick and move it into each ram slot to see if you have a dead ram slot.

It wont be that. Because it needs 0801 of the BIOS to support that CPU

Core i5-4670K (3.4Ghz, 4C, L3:6M, GT2, VT-D, 84W, rev.C0) ALL 0801

This isnt listed on the CPU supported list. So should work out of the box

not the cpu that the issue but asus and other vendors have had to drop bios fixes for nvidia newer gpu.
