Ok so I moved my Dell xps 8700 to a new case and a new CPU cooler. First I put it in the case and everything was fine. Then I removed it, tried putting the CPU cooler on but the backplate didn't fit. I took the original backplate out but accedentaily damaged one of the holes. Put the stock fan back on but it was pushing more on side with the broken hole. Played games for 8 minutes then the computer shut down . I took the CPU out cleaned it and put the fan back on. The first time the fans spun a little and stopped. Now I get nothing. HELP!!!

My suggestion, replace all parts from a warranty.

Almost all parts have a warranty on them that lasts more than a year.

If you are unsure, go to the website of your specific parts, ( eg, intel i7-7700k ) and check if it has a warranty on it, if it does, ask for a refund or whatever it is to replace it.

If this doesn't work since the warranty doesn't comply with overclocking damages or whatever, take your PC To local hardware shops and see if they can identify the problem.

Hopefully this answers your question.
