Hello my name is Steven, and i am having an immense amount of trouble getting my PC to boot up after replacing my CPU. I recently had an AMD 1090T, but if broke after I mistakenly broke some pins off while applying a new CPU cooler. I didn't wait to get a new CPU, and so I went out and bought an AMD FX 8350 8-core processor. I figured once I get this in, I wouldn't have to buy anything new for a couple of years. I just built my PC last year, so buying a new processor already is a bit annoying. I had a hardware-savy relative assemble my new cooler, and CPU, and everything looks good. The PSU puts power to all of my fans, and the HDD's Click, but after that I get no POST, nor a Windows logo, or anything! I have tried reseting my CMOS, and BIOS, but nothing has worked. I have switched my RAM to different places, and nothing. It seems as though I have tried everything! I have browsed Google listings, but no one has the exact same problem as I do. I will post my specs below, and i hope someone can help me! Everything worked fine before I broke those pins and put the new processor in. I have tried mulitple graphics cards, and a different PSU. So I don't know what it could be. Also, my Mobo has indicator lights that warn me if something isn't working. and it tells me everything is in working order.

SPECS:
PSU: Antec High Current Gamer 620W PSU

VIDEO: AMD RADEON SAPPHIRE 7950

CPU: AMD 1090T (BROKEN) - AMD FX 8350 8 core

RAM: CORSAIR XMS3 8GB DDR3 1600

MOBO: ASUS M5A99X EVO R1

COOLER: Antec Kuhler 620

And finally I have two HDD's, and two Disc Drives, all in an Antec 300 case

Everything has worked great until i put this new chip in, and the old chip worked with this cooler, but I broke the pins, when i tried to remount the cooler in a better position. I don't see why it wouldn't boot, the only changes were a cooler, and CPU.

I have read elsewhere that my CPU may be too new for my Mobo, but others have said my PC would make the CPU compatible by default, and that i should still be able to POST, and then flash my Bios for the new CPU.

What is going on? Can anyone help me?

I solved my problem. I returned the 8 core, and picked up a Phenom X4. I am going to flash my BIOS, and then decide on whether to get the 8 Core again. Anyway, thanks for the help!
