Hi all,

I just set up my new PC but I cannot get it to display anything.
Everything gets power, the GPU is running. Everything is plugged in correctly.

The Mobo-check LED's says error at vga and boot.

My setup:

Asus Strix Z390 - F Gaming
Core i9 - 9900KF
Asus ROG Strix 2080ti OC Edition
GSkill Ripjaws 32GB 2 Slot
BeQuiet! Power Zone 1000W
BeQuiet! SilentLoop 240
Samsung 960 Pro 512GB (has vga drivers of my previous GPU installed but that shouldn't be an issue, no?)

What I've tried so far:

- http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/261145-31-perform-steps-posting-post-boot-video-problems. <- this guide
  • resettng CMOS
  • plug GPU in the other PCI slots
  • change power cords from the PSU
  • only 1 RAM slot
  • no GPU at all - same error obviously^^
-remove RAM completely - gave me a RAM error instead of vga and boot
- remove NVME
-tried the GPU on an eGPU - works

Could the Mobo be confused because the 9900KF has it's built in GPU disabled?

Pretty out of options atm. Do you guys have any suggestions?

Thx for comments!

Best wishes,
cybrix.

The Intel processor you own doesn't have an iGPU(which is why it's with the F suffix) hence you're going to need a discrete GPU regardless, unless you can manage a processor with integrated GPU, like the i7-900K. Did you inspect the CPU socket for any bent or broken pins?

I did check the CPU before installation, everything fine there. Since the Mobo checks the CPU before the video card and I don't get a CPU error I assumed that it should be ok.

Do you mean I actually need a discrete gpu in addition to my 2080ti to get it to POST? That would suck..^^
