No Post. Worked fine last 2 years

This computer has been working fine since I built it. In fact, I was playing on it 8 hours ago without any problems.

Symptoms: Powers on, all lights on, all fans (case, cpu, gpu, psu) working, keyboard/mouse light on, beeps once. No display then automatically restarts.

What I've tired:
1. Reconnected all power cables; no change
2. Connected PSU directly to outlet to bypass surge protector; no change
3. 1 RAM stick boots (cycled between all 4 ram sticks in each ram slot); no change
4. Removed GPU & tried using onboard video; no change
5. Removed any unnecessary accessory (sound card, extra fans, GPU); no change
6. Removed MB battery & booted with minimal hardware; no change
7. Reset CMOS; no change
8. Moved GPU to different PCIe slot; no change


Computer Specs:
i5 2500K @ 4.0
Radeon HD 7970
16 GB SDRAM DDR3 Ram Corsair Vengeance
910W PSU
Crucial M4 SSD + HDD
MB: ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3

motherboard or cpu?

try cleaning up dust on cpu heatsink and fan. try removing heatsink, cleaning up and reapplying paste/reassembling. see how it goes.
