I have an asus z370 e gaming motherboard an intel 8700k 16gb g.skill trident z ram a 1250w psu and a rog 1080ti. I just changed my case fans and now my pc wont display. I turned on the switch on the psu the orange led comes on then I turned on with the power switch and all the rgb and fans work correctly as well as my aio pump but no display. I tried only using one of the ram sticks no change so I tried only using the other also no change. I tried removing the GPU and no change I tried clearing the cmos again no change. I unplugged my hard drive it didnt make a difference. is it possible my motherboard failed?

According to the specs, there are ASUS Q-LED (CPU, DRAM, VGA, Boot Device LED) on board. See if any of them stays on, when board started.

the orange motherboard power light is on when the psu is switched on and is the only one that comes on when I press the power button

Check the 24 and 8 pin power cables, both ends. Disconnect the case fans and test.

I did all that no change. I tried with the old fans that I took out and the same issue

Try connecting an internal speaker to the board and see if any beeps when starting the board with no RAMs,

I have ordered an internal speaker since the closest micro center didnt have any and best buy didnt either

No problem. When available. start the board with no RAMs and see if any beeps.

turns out my friend had a speaker I tested and no beeps. he also had a spare motherboard so I tried that and everything works fine now. thank you for your suggestions I was really at a loss for what was going on
