[SOLVED] No power to new RTX 4070 GPU ?

My specs:

Cpu: i7-9700K
Current GPU 3070
PSU: Corsair RM850x
MB: MSI Z390 Gaming Plus

I received an RTX 4070 today

No power to it after installation, no fans spinning or lights on.

Tried the stock cable and one I ordered from Corsair, which is dual 8 pin to 12 pin PCIE

Am I missing something, Is my equipment all compatible? I’m totally frustrated with this.

I’ve tried the power cables all sorts of ways, I’m assuming I use both connectors into the psu to the single 12 pin into the card? I’m at a loss

Possibly a faulty gpu, can you try it ina different system, so if it boots?

Potentially need a BIOS update, or you need to force PCIe 3.0 mode rather than leaving it on auto.

Yes, two cables from the PSU to the single 12-pin. The standard cables each have 2 PCIe 8-pin for 300W, the 12-pin can handle 600W.

I have ordered a new GPU as NDD was available, I just processed a return for the faulty one.

New one arrived today and went in without issue.
