no power to system after installing graphics card

so i got a new pc build for Christmas and i put it together and there was no power. so i individually tested each core component like psu mobo etc. that worked fine and when i installed the graphics card and tested it to see if the fans would run the whole system lost power. any help thanks

the graphic you trying to install was came with pc(sapphire R9 280) or is it a new one?
