Hello guys,
I live in india it is a little bit more pricey here.So I buyed a PC with i3 3240, ecs h61h2 mv v1.0, 6gb 1600mzh ram and no graphics card.
So I thought of a new graphics card my budget is low 10000rs (120$) my mobo has 1 * 16x pcie 3.0. So I thought of this Asus gtx 740 2gb oc edition. By the problem is I have a built computer which has just 200w smps. I thought of another smps outside the cpu suggest me another idea or other card. Pls help me fast.

Solution
200W isn't really enough for almost any but the most basic of GPUs, which you already have on board the processor.

You will simply have to upgrade the SMPS to something in the 400W range, preferably from a reputable brand.

Thanx for your reply eximo.
I problem I have is I am just a 10 std student and my father doesn't allow me to change and I couldn't change my smps because I don't know the size of the one in my computer. And I don't think it is replaceable but is there any problem if I place another smps outside.

Using multiple supplies is an option, but not recommended. There are cable kits you can buy. Otherwise you will have to run some wires so that the power supply turns on with the power switch. (basically need a ground and the 5V+ Standby wire hooked up)

The majority of power supplies are standard ATX. If you have a small form factor supply it is usually easier to buy a new case. Higher wattage small form factor supplies are available, but they are usually quite expensive.
