Tried just for fun q6600 and e8xxx and ofc it wont work, didnt even post, just cpu fan at max.

Then i bought E 5200 (fsb800) which should work because it says on official website that it supports E 6600 which has even higher fsb. https://support.lenovo.com/hr/hr/documents/migr-65779#soft
And it posts, but i get error
0167 no processor BIOS update found
*error boot sequence will be taken if no selection is made
But it wont boot to windows, just blank screen. I installed newest bios update both from windows and from cd rom.
It even reckognizes my new cpu in bios settings. I also set in bios startup options that *error boot sequence to boot from my hdd first.
I have no idea why it doesnt work, it should.

I really hate Lenovo right now... every other legit mbo manufacturer that have a product with high enough fsb bus can support...
I really hate Lenovo right now... every other legit mbo manufacturer that have a product with high enough fsb bus can support every cpu out there.... but not lenovo no no.... lenovo said nope, screw that, its a lot of work to put intel microcode updates on their stupid bios.
e 5200 is below e6300/6600 that they say is supported... but i guess they never sold those cpu-s in their systems so they never freaking bothered doing updates.
I'm staying away from lenovo for good, for life, with all of their products.

edit: even worse, they did sell e5200 but not in my particular model, so no bios update for me!

Nope. They still have a cpu supported list. The iss ue with this is E5200 and E6600 is different generation.
It pretty much the same with all manufacturer. not sure what you so mad about.

Solution
Its all socket LGA 775, right now i have celeron 430, which is at weakest cpu, fsb=0. Only fsb bus speed should decide compatibility. Example, my gigabyte LGA775 fsb 1600 supports every possible 775 socket intel cpu including 771 xeons with slight socket modification.
Lenovo m55 thinkcentre supports e5200 and now im playing with modifying/injecting .pat and .hsh files into my bios update

e5200 which doesnt work on my lenovo is fsb 800 with 2mb cache.... while e6600 that is said to work is 1066fsb.
It also says on official site ''Supports Intel® Pentium® D processors with 800MHz FSB and 2x1MB L2 cache''
Even in bios i can clearly see it being reckognized and it posts, unlike with other higher fsb cpu-s that i tried it wouldn't even post.
It's lenovos fault, they are bad and lazy and i have right to be mad at them

true. next time just make sure you read the spec and don't assume.
