No red color on VGA monitor

I lost the red color on my VGA monitor. How can i fix it?

Make sure the cable is plugged in to both ends tightly. Sounds like the cable is slightly loose.

+1 sounds the same to me that the cable is loose. Or something is tugging at it perhaps.
