Hi!

I have a 240GB SSD, literally only 3 games installed, CS:GO, Ark, and Spin Tires. A couple other programs like Sony Vegas, Photoshop, and a few small windows mobile games. All my videos, music and pictures are on my 3 TB HDD. These programs take up about 100GB total plus the OS so about 115 total, but my SSD is full. When I go into program files and all the others, there's a ton of files, but none of them recognizable to me. What's filling it up and how do I clear it out? Please help. I can't update any of the games and really don't want to wipe the drive...again. I've gone through add remove programs, anything left is essential.

Thank You!

Please could you post a screenshot of these strange files in file explorer?

I also suggest downloading SpaceSniffer and running it on your C drive, to give you a visual representation of what space is used. Again, a screenshot would be useful. http://www.uderzo.it/main_products/space_sniffer/

yeah! SpaceSniffer was good, it showed me I had battlefeild 4 installed which i forgot about and apparently my videos are being stored some how on my ssd as well, the spacesniffer is the last screenshot, all the files called amd are my videos. But things like "hiberfile" "Appdata" and "Documents" I'm still not sure of: its says im not allowed to access Documents and Setting for some reason when I click on it. it says location is unavailable "C/: Documents and Settings is not accessable" "Access is denied" which is weird, i'm pretty sure i used to be able to, its a PC i built myself.

Thanks!!! Battlefeild 4 is 64gb's on its own!

Hate to say it but I see loads of posts saying one dan have a 120GB SSD for the OS. I dont understand how they do it.
The OS plus a reasonable amount of personal files, and six shoots and 500GB is filling up to danger level!
OK My camera produces big files, circa 160 MB each, but I think a minimum requiremeny is one 500GB SSD for OS Programs and current work and another 500Gb SSD for quick access. storage.

Yeah, the OS is 15gb and the rest for things i'm using now/regularly, and I have a 2 or 3 TB Hard drive for storage; music, videos and pictures etc. I can't wait for SSD's to come down more in price, they have started to, but they're still pretty expensive, maybe in a year or two we'll be able to get a TB for around $3-400 'ish or less

1TB SSD's are already at the $220 level.
I have one of these: http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Ultra-2-5-Inch-Height-SDSSDHII-960G-G25/dp/B00M8ABHVQ

A 120GB is OK, if you have other drives for other things.
In my system, I have a 250GB SSD completely for photo/video.
The OS and applications live on a different drive.

Hmm on Amazon ITB Samsung 850 Evos are £223 thats $223 !
If I was going that SSD OS route I would go the 1TB route. But when I started they were much more.
And now I am trapped having 2x samsung 850 Evo 500GBs .. ( trapped by I like to be able to copy a whole drive to another one)
Sadly I cant go 1.2TB with Intel 750s just cant afford £700 : and for some horrible reason the 800 GB is much slower than the 400GB And 1.2 TBs.

My current main system has 5 drives.
4 x SSD and 1 x HDD.

250GB SSD - OS and applications
250GB SSD - photo/video work
120GB SSD - scratch space for Lightroom and VideoStudio and temp space for stuff I do not care about
960GB SSD - doc/music/video + backup of the 250GB photo drive
3TB HDD - C and D drive backups + a lot of other 'junk'

OMG!!! GTX 1080 $599 and 1TB SSD $220? It's like the future!!
