No scan on officejet 7310xi

The scan feature suddenly stopped working on my HP Officejet 7310xi. I uninstalled the software and then reinstalled. Still doesn't work. Can you help?

Have you tried unpluging the printer and then pluging it back in ? If you press the scan button on the printer does anything happen ?
