My computer stopped working about four days ago when it started freezing. I now don't even see the screen turn on when my computer turns on. It is not my monitor that is broken because I have tested this.

My motherboard had good temperatures, but it seems to be the reason it is broken. It could be my graphics card but I do not know.

So what can I do?

Thanks

Try another graphics card, preferably a borrowed one just for test purposes so it doesn't matter if it's low-end card, any card that's in working condition. If that works you know your graphics card is dead so you can confidently buy a replacement without fear of wasting your money replacing a healthy component.

Your graphics card may even just need re-seating by removing it and putting it firmly back in the slot, so try that first.

The signal cable may also have a break in it (though rare) so try replacing that.

Thanks for replying! I have made progress and probably found it is not a hardware problem, as i put my windows installation disk in and everything has booted up normally. So what should I do from here? Thanks.
