im trying to find the secureboot / keymanagement in my uefi board..
couldnt find any at all..
what im trying to do is install a different os instead of windows in particular androidx86
however when run the exe for installation this message returns
""secure boot state could not be retrieved to proceed with the installation securely":
they did mentioned something about disable that security feature but couldnt find any.
do note that ive already looked for the ""BOOT" or "SECUREBOOT"tab but there isnt any,,
also tried looking for csm / cms tab but there isnt

if there a way fo flash a different more generic bios ?
or disable the secureboot?

In BIOS under "UEFI\Legacy BOOT" choose the "Enable both" option. This should effectively disable Secure Boot because it can't work while Legacy Boot is enabled.
thanks for the response but i dont have those option at all.. those options are available on my other mobo but not on this one.. bios verison is also updated

OK I consulted the manual for your exact model. Go to BIOS 'Advanced' tab, and you'll see 'Legacy USB Support'. Set it to Enabled.
i also checked on that part of mobo but to no avail.. im not really sure what to do..

there is administrative and user security settings where i could set a password.. i did create them just now - then remove then reboot to bios once more.. still to no avail.

is there a way i could flash an AMI bios since this bios is like related to them.. i see their logo btw

Motherboard appears to be too old to have that Secure Boot feature. It is available on Asus P8H61-M LK R2.0.

The motherboard has BIOS update to Version 0412 that "Improve compatibility with Windows 8 OS". However it does not have Windows 8 Ready – Assured Compatibility found on newer P8H61-M LK R2.0 with Secure Boot.

Androidx86 is not a officially suported operating system. You might check with whoever recommended using that OS.

that is certainly true.. i just didnt expect that even older mobo doesnt allow to install a different OS just because they dont trust it. i mean i have a different h61 from different brand that has all feature.. just didnt know that secure thingy will be a hindrance this time
