Hello and thank you for reading. Firstly I have tried many solutions and read many threads {including the ones here} but none of them worked to solve my problem.

I have 2 graphic cards on my server desktop PC and when I was working I noticed my computer is not using my better graphic card [GTX] but only my older NviDia card causing my Photoshop to be lagging. I wanted to change my primary graphic card but there was no option for preferred graphic card in the NVidia control panel so I went to change it in BIOS.

I couldn't really find any option there either - except for VGA priority option. I changed it from OFF BOARD to ON BOARD and restarted. After that my monitor had no signal and my problem started.
[see attached image, I took pics before I changed the setting]

Now the problem is that I don't have any onboard graphic card so I think that's why monitor has no signal.

I tried the following to fix it:

- Resetting CMOS by taking it out for 1 hour and pressing the reset button for 15 sec to reset it. I also disconnected all cables before doing this.

- Resetting the jumpers by relocating the plastic piece and then putting it back

- Removing all RAM and trying to start only with 1 RAM piece

- I bought 1 second hand VGA graphic card to try if it's going to work with VGA to VGA

- Disconnecting the 2 graphic cards and trying to start up only with 1 graphic card at a time

- DVI and HDMI input/output

- two different monitors to rule out monitor issue

Now I'm pretty sure the motherboard is not dead due to following reasons:

1. It stopped working directly after I changed the setting
2. The keyboard light is on and I can press the num lock and caps lock and see the light on/off
3. I tried to go to BIOS blindly and change the setting back [it's tricky to remember how many arrows to press] and then go F10 to save and exit. After that the keyboard flashes and system restarts just like when I change settings when monitor and motherboard is working

I believe that rules out shortage of the motherboard with the case as well.

The reason why I think resetting CMOS and jumpers doesn't work is that the actual default setting of BIOS for the motherboard is onboard graphic card [that's what my friend told me who is building servers weekly]

I would be REALLY grateful if anyone can help me because I have a project to finish over the weekend and cannot figure this out.

I tried calling a computer service guy to fix it but he just tried to disconnect all components and turn on the PC one by one and after that he said it must be the motherboard ignoring my insight that I'm pretty sure it is not the motherboard [as per reasons mentioned above]. In the end I had to pay him anyway so I'm afraid to take it to computer service again as they will just say it's the motherboard [well obviously it's going to work if I change the motherboard since the bios setting is saved in there]

my spec:
2 xeon CPUs
2 graphic cards
Asus server motherboard
32gb ram
wireless card
1000 power supply

Nobody knows any advice how to solve this? Would really appreciate any help

Hello thank you for your tip. I did try it already but just in case I just tried it again. It does save the setting as the keyboards turns off for a while and then on again while it's restarting. However I still can't see anything on the monitors. My friend told me that maybe the default setting is actually set on Onboard priority and that's why the reset doesn't work...

Sorry, that was all I had to offer. Good luck.
