No signal after installing drivers

I just bought a new gtx 1050ti and I put it in and installed drivers 5 min later the screen said no signal, so I rebooted the PC and the same thing happens, I then used ddu and uninstalled the drivers and the card worked fine, please help

You can't play games without the drivers and it goes down to 720 p on the desktop

Did you get the newest ones from the nvidia website and reinstall them after removing all the old ones? Also are the cables securely fastened

Yep, even tried the beta 375.73

Well it could be a lot of things, you're not giving us a whole lot of information to go off of. If you haven't done it already, update your motherboard BIOS. A list of specs would be nice

Specs
Dell 630i Mobo
6 gigs of ram
750w Dell PSU
1050ti
500 gig western digital
A core 2 quad Q9500

Pascal might not be supported by that motherboard, call Dell. All they guarantee is that what they ship to you and any officially supported upgrades work. Could still be a bios compatibility issue especially considering that the last update looks like it was in 2011.

The website says the 1070 is supported so I think my card just shipped ded, I got a return label and I'ma get a new one

What are you temperatures atm? Use a program such as Afterburner or HwMonitor.


Also, did you test your monitor using another cable? Or another computer?

Set for the down vote and the temps are around 21 idle and 34 under load, also I used 2 different monitors to test

Anyhow, does this issue appear even when the PC is in the BIOS? If you haven't tested yet, select the BIOS by holding/tapping F2 at boot and leave it there. If it hangs and gives you no signal even in the bios, then your issue lies with the hardware.

Have you tried removing a RAM card, and swapping them around? Try the computer with only a single stick of RAM. If it hangs/loses signal, try another stick.

If it always hangs with any of your ram sticks, the issue is either you motherboard or your video card. I suggest using an old video card to test given you have no onboard graphics.

When I use my old GPU it's fine, it's also fine when I have no Nvidia drivers installed, its also fine in safe mode

To do this, boot the pc with your old GPU. Then run this program, called DDU:

It will remove all the nvidia drivers completely. Shut down the PC afterwards, insert your GTX 1050ti again, start the pc again then install the latest compatible drivers for your OS and card. Download them directly here:
http://www.geforce.com/drivers

Once you've cleaned all your drivers and re-installed them to the latest version, it should be alright. If not, I suggest testing the 1050ti on another PC, or returning it back where you bought it.

Ive done that 3 times with all the available drivers, including a beta one. Ty for the help, this same thing happened with a 550ti, guess I'm not ment 4 nvidia

Sad to hear such a new card is giving you issues. 🙁 There's not much more you can do. If all works correctly with another card, and you tested all the drivers, then the card is the issue, sadly. Just return or replace it.

Ty. Also I realized that my PC is such a big bottleneck for that card
