Hi everyone, after having done some research it seems that this issue is a widespread problem. Therefore finding a solution is not only important for me, but for all the people trying to resolve this issue via. forums.
I updated the bios on my Asus Prime Z690-P Wifi with a 12th gen chip to a version supporting 13th gen, and successfully booted into windows.
When inserting the 13th gen i7-13700k, i get "no signal" output even though all fans are spinning + lights etc.
When switching back to 12th gen cpu, it doesn't POST either.
Update 1: Got the i3 to boot windows again after building outside of case and clearing cmos, i then proceeded to install MEI drivers in windows.
Update 2: Still no signal after inserting i7-13700k with installed / updated MEI drivers
Update 3: Successfully updated bios to 2212 and booted into windows with i3 12th gen. Still nothing with i7-13700k. i7-13700k does heat up, so i don't think its dead.
Things i've tried:
Clearing CMOS
Swapping M.2 slots
Running 1 ram stick
Reseating CPU
I know that there are some clever minds on this forum, so let's try to find a common fix for this common issue.
Thanks in advance.
