I'm a bit puzzled to why my monitor turns black and the message No signal detetcted ! pops up after the "Windows is starting" screen and lasts til i'm actually in the OS. I don't get to see the "Welcome" screen. My monitor is hooked up to the DVI connection of my GPU and i've disabled the integrated graphics chip of my i5 4690K in the BIOS (i.e set the "Primary Display to [PCIe]") and of course i use the latest drivers for my GTX770. This is not a huge problem and my computer works as it should i just wonder why this happens. Here's a video of it that i recorded and the message pops up about 12s into the video.

No signal detected!

Thanks in advance

But is there a way so this would not happen or is this a case with every graphicscard? On my old Asus P5Q-E mobo and Intel Q9550, with the same monitor and graphicscard, this didn't happen.

just as the guy said above. the default driver built in to the bios starts things to display before the os how do you think you get into the bios and all with out any os loaded at first start with a fresh new build ??

then windows loads then detects your hardware and load the drivers for it or its own built in default drivers if none are installed by you

there allways that transition between post and os maybe super quick blink of the eye maybe 1 sec. with experience you know when it seems too long a delay as if windows may be having a issue loading it up or too many start up programs it got to wait on ??

I've never had this issue before that's why i'm asking. I also just finished building the PC in my signature with alot of new components. The graphicscard i've had for a while though on my old PC and i have hade no "No signal detected!" message pop-up earlier during boot.
