No signal error, is my HDMI cable faulty?

No signal error happen sometimes after POST, starting a game or randomly. Alternatively screen goes black with a green line for a split second and then everything goes as it should. I have MSI R9 290 Gaming graphics. Temps are normal, PSU is sufficient, tried forcing constant voltage, updating drivers for GPU and BIOS for MoBo. Things come back to normal after replugging HDMI cable or rebooting. Sometimes after reboot I get blackscreen with only mouse displayed or Aero doesn't work until another reboot. HDMI cable is a bit loose so it may be that. When I switched the cables orientation (PC plug as monitor plug and vice versa) no signal after POST was happening always, no matter how often I rebooted or replugged cable (both plugs on the cable are male of course).

Just buy another HDMI cable and test with it. It's cheap, so nothing to lose there (and a lot to gain). If it doesn't help, we will start figuring out in detail what may be the cause.
