Question No signal from new graphics card ?

I have just upgraded my graphics card from 1050 to 3050 and I am getting no signal from it, so I am wondering if my PSU is good enough ?

The rig I am using is:
Asus rog strix B450-F motherboard
AMD RYZEN 5 2600 processor
2x 8gb corsair ram sticks
Corsair VS550W power supply.

Any help is much appreciated.

Unlike the 1050, the 3050 requires additional power via an 8-pin PCIe cable from the PSU. Have you connected it ?

When I had my 1050 power cables I had a 6pin and a 2 pin, is that right or is there a separate 8pin cable I need to plug in?

Sorry I'm new to the whole pc build.

Just look at what connectors are on the card and act accordingly. If you've connected an 8-pin (ie 6+2) cable to the card and card has no other connectors on it, that's all it needs.
