[SOLVED] No signal from old GPU?

I have a old r9 270 that I got from my dad as I can’t afford many pc parts. It does not output any signal and I’m pretty experienced in electronics so I should be able to fix it if I could get some help to rule out if it’s a software or hardware problem. I’ve tried an amd driver install but it was not detecting anything amd, this gpu worked before it suddenly stopped. Does anyone even have a circuit diagram for it?

The R9 270 needs a 6-pin PCIe power cable connecting to it if memory serves me correctly ---- have you connected it?

EDIT: just realised you said it used to work okay until it suddenly stopped, so above sentence may be irrelevant.

Yup, it had no connector as it came from a dell pc, weird thing is I have never seen one like mine as it has only a heat sink.
