No signal from onboard graphics [new build]

I have just finished assembling my new PC (specs below) and am getting no signal out of the onboard graphics. I have tried connecting with both VGA and HDMI, but nothing. I've checked that the motherboard's back connections are powered by connecting my phone to the USB. The motherboard LEDs are also lit up.

I have a dedicated graphics card due to be delivered later in the week, but surely I should be able to see an output from the onboard graphics? I haven't connected a keyboard or mouse yet, but I assume that won't matter.

Motherboard: GIGABYTE AB350M Gaming 3
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 Desktop
RAM: Crucial CT8G4DFD824A 8 GB

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

AMD Ryzen 5 1600 does not have processor graphics. You need to install a processor from the CPU Support List that lists something other than N/A in the GPU Frequency column.

Oh really?! I've never come across something like this before. I assumed the onboard graphics was provided by the motherboard, not the CPU.

Well this is a relief. Hopefully, everything will work correctly when the GPU arrives.
