Just got my brand new pc in the mail today and when i plugged it in and started it up, my monitor just says No Signal and goes to sleep. I tried both DVI ports and then even tried the hdmi into my TV to see if it was the monitor or something. Any ideas what this could be? I have an R9 380 4gb, Corsair CX600M, AMD FX 8350 4.0 ghz, and Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P AM3+ motherboard. Really frustrating and never have built a pc before so i dont even know where to begin as far as what i should be looking for or what to check. It turns on just fine, fans start up and i can hear what i presume to be the hard drive or something start up when i hit the power button. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Most common if a first time build.

Check to see if the motherboard has an on board video solution on it.
If so connect the monitor cable from the monitor to the video output ports on the motherboard.

Power the system up.
You should get a display image on your monitor.

Now press the key to enter the bios setup Jeremy.

Find the section in the bios that deals with graphics, you may have to select advanced mode of the bios if a Uefi enabled bios on the motherboard.
The option to switch to advanced bios mode settings is often found on the first menu page of the bios ok.

Right find the the graphics selection menu in the bios.
It will state primary graphics adapter bla bla. change the mode or option to Pci-e or Peg mode over IGp or the IGPFX setting.

Save the new changes in the bios before you exit it Jeremy.

Now swap the monitor cable from the back of the motherboards video ports to your R9 390 graphics card video out put ports on the card.

You should then get a video signal on your monitor, provided you have connected all of the power required for the motherboard and the R9 390 graphics card in you new system Jeremy.

Post back let me know if it`s up and running.
All the best.

How do I check and see if it has an on board video solution? And where exactly is the port that I need to plug it into to try this? I have two DVI ports on the back and an HDMI and a DP. Sorry, I've never done any of this before, so is there anyway you can dumb it down for me? Apologies in advance, and thanks again.
