No signal on monitor while pc is running

Hello,
I installed a new video card and new power supply, but after the XP splash screen I am getting "no sognal" and the monitor goes into sleep mode.

sounds like its trying to boot to an unsupported resolution.

make sure you remove all the old drivers for the old video card, then boot into safe mode to install the new drivers. then you can set a resolution compatible with the monitor.

EDIT: and to point out an obvious one in case you missed it; you have plugged the monitor into the new card right? not the onboard video card?
