No SignaL on monitor!!!

I recently bought a gtx 1050 msi 2gb oc edition. And since my monitor doesn't have any dvi-d or hdmi port i bought a dvi-d to vga adapter. You probably bought an adapter that is only able to transfer analog signal, but for it to work- graphic card has to have Digital analog converter and special pins in DVI port to transfer analog signal. Most graphic cards from last two years no longer have them, thus different DVI-VGA adapter is needed- DVI-D to VGA Active Converter, like this:

No- I do not know what adapter you have But generally- it is the most likely problem, and common on this forum. It is also true that latest graphic cards, including the GTX1050, no longer have hardware to supply analog signal that your monitor needs.

Yes- this adapter will not work with GTX1050, it is unable to convert digital signal to analog.
