[SOLVED] No signal on PC ,fan is running ,optical drive working ,lights are on etc

I m having no signal problem on my pc monitor . Earlier when I face this problem I tried removing ram and inserting it again that time it worked ,but its not working now ,also my last power chord got damaged so there was smoke from power supply unit but still it was working fine . My PC is very old . Tell me what to do other than replacing whole components ?

A smoking PSU should always be replaced straight away, you shouldn't have carried on using it.

So do that first, then see what issues remain.

Be prepared for the possibility that GPU or motherboard may have been damaged by PSU fault.

Fan is running , and mouse led is working , still PSU is damaged?

Smoke doesn't come from a PSU without a reason --- something inside it has melted, hence the smoke.

Now it's evidently just managing to supply enough power for the fans and mouse, but it's too damaged to supply enough power for the main components. Apart from that it's unsafe to continue using it anyway.

So stop using it and get it replaced with a good-quality unit, then see if anything else was damaged.

Thank you everyone the problem is now sorted . I unplugged all the cables from psu and then plugged them again that worked .
