I bought a new case for my pc since the old one had big thermal problems and after cleaning the dust off everything, putting everything into the new case then plugging everything back in its place the pc starts, the fans start spinning like the hdd but i cant get a signal out of my pcie lanes. Ive put my gpu in all 3 lanes and my friends gpu but no luck. The gpus power light is on like it should. I tested my monitor with his pc and it works. So my question is should i try it with a new mobo ( im thinking about buying a cheap or used b350) or try a 1200g and see if i get a signal out of the igpu? Or get a mobo fault code speaker?

Specs:

Mobo: asus x370pro

Cpu: ryzen 2600

Gpu: gtx 1070

Ram: 16gb gskill aegis

300gb ssd and 1,5tb hdd

Case is fractal design define c

Search engines such as Google are full of stories about broken PCs after cleaning the insides. Why anyone would need to "clean the dust off everything" is beyond me.

I can see cleaning fans and heatsinks. Careless use of high pressurized air, vacuums can knock and pull components off motherboards.

Adding liquid to a motherboard is never a good idea. I've even seen you tube video of someone cleaning the motherboard in a kitchen sink.

As it is it's probably easier to borrow a graphics card to test, if you can, of course. This would help check whether the PCIe slots are working.

There's no point in getting any of the APUs to get a signal out of the integrated graphics because it doesn't eliminate any of the problems you mention; you'd just be buying a processor to see if that processor works.

Also check whether you're not shorting the motherboard against the case and all the standoffs are correctly placed. A couple of other things: the display cable, and PCIe power cables to the graphics card.

So ive checked everything again, reset the bios, put the mobo out of the case and started it from there and there is only this shhort signal when the monitor lights up then it says no signal. My keyboard and mouse stay off when connected. I took the ram out and put it back in again and cleaned all pcie lanes with pure alcohol. Still nothing.
Should i buy a used/ cheap b350/ b450 board and try it out with that.

Would have used a can of compressed air to clear out PCIe slots myself, but assuming everything dries off correctly then hopefully should be okay.

Looks like I misread/missed part of your original post about the graphics card. Have you tested your graphics card on another known working PC? (Eg. your friend's.) I would rather make sure of these aspects before spending money.
