Question No signal problem from GPU's

asus radeon r7 240 4gb dd3 / amd radeon hd 5450 1gb dd3

I bought an asus radeon r7 240 OC 4gb dd3. But when I put it in the slot, nothing happens to the fan on the board, but it tells me no signal. I changed the Power Supplies with a 500w one because the plate requires 400w but then nothing happens yet when i put the old video card an amd radeon hd5450 ddr3 the pc clicks sound and starts but when I put the new video card it does not make any click sound and no signal appears if you can help me that would be awesome

Ram: 8gb dd2

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. List them like so:

Also, mention the makes and models of the two PSU's you've used and their age. Include how your connecting to your display and the make and model of your display.
